We think it is a special record and we have Didier from Timmion mastering it for us and Honest Jon’s in the mix for global distribution, more news on this next week with a free download to come. Expect the vinyl to hit the stores in the second half of April and CDs will be available for the tour next month in Dublin, Cork, Limerick & Galway.

The anticipation for this LP is almost too much, Window Seat saw Badu back to her best form and was more than enough to keep us happy until the full length dropped, but lo and behold, she sneaks out another didn’t cha know, didn’t cha know, this came out late last week, but might aswell throw it up for good measure.

Madlib laces Erykah with a smokers delight of a backing track with harp samples reminiscint of Dorothy Ashby work. The track is titled Strawberry Incense and its sublime, check it

The super talented T&S crew feature on this BunchTV production, the show is recorded from Cologne in Germany last month and we are working our best to make this show happen in Ireland this year, Lee Fields has a voice like no other, buy their album ‘My World’ which came out last summer.

We had Aloe Blacc perform for us with Exile, Guilty Simpson & House Shoes a couple of years back at our Hip Hop Love event in The Village and since then he has been keeping a low profile, but has been in the studio working with Leon Micheals and the Truth & Soul team on an album for the Now Again imprint run by Egon. Here is the first taster from the forthcoming album and it’s a strong track, it has been included in the opening credits for the series ’How to Make it in America’ on HBO.

A very talented fellow, Aloe compared and presented the excellent Mochilla/Vtech/Hypnotic night in LA back in November with us and it’s great to finally see some movement on this project, looking forward to the album.

This is great, it’s not everyday that you get to see Marvin Gaye harmonizing his vocals on TV (this is from a PBS documentary – American Masters). It’s an auld shame the people don’t stop talking over his voice when they are explaining and showing the stems from his different vocal tracks in the mix from 3.20 onwards or so, but there are some great segments in this clip: Never forget how good this guy was, he was and still is the man.

We have been following these guys since their first recordings and they delivered a superb live show for us last year in The Sugar Club, their new Lp came out last week – Rising Sun – and we just hawked this new single and video accompaniment on youtube

Soulful boogie vibes from none other than Krystal Klear, hailing from Belize this mysteryman has been catching the attention of Benji B, Hudson Mohawke, Moovmnt Blog and a lot of the leading tastemakers around. This music is laden with boogie vibes and 80s electronica and is reminiscint of the Dam Funk material which came out in 2008/9. From the feedback he has been receiving, a promising future awaits.

All City have signed him up for the first release, so with that stamp of approval expect Olan & Co. to do a proper job in putting Krystal Klear on the map, one to watch for sure. Let us know if you feeling this.

Also…Krystal Klear will be Djing with us on St. Patricks Eve – Tue 16th March at Pygmalion. It will be free doors and music will begin at around 9pm and go til very late….you have been warned!
