Ireland’s freshest beatmaker drops a special mix for ChoiceCuts in anticipation of his forthcoming release on All-City Records…

We got hooked up with the man they call Krystal Klear via our good friend Olan in Dublin’s leading vinyl and paint shop (and prolific label) All-City.  As Olan says, “The first day we opened the shop this kid was in hanging around”.

Ten years later and Krystal Klear is Ireland’s mysterious producer (working out of Manchester at the moment) who is making the best Boogie, New Jack Swing, Instru Hip-Hop and House this side of the Atlantic. His debut EP drops on All City later in the year and the much talked about single ‘Greensilver’ hit the world back in September via Cooly G’s Dub Organizer label.

Receiving love and support from Benji B, Hudson Mohawke, Lazersword, Mary Anne Hobbs, Cooly G and Floating Point Krystal Klear has made his mark already with his new jack swing production sensibilities and his love of boogie and funk – something we have plenty of time for here!  Check the mix, it’s a fresh blend of beats – well known balanced with the more obscure.
