The legendary and villainous DOOM made his way to Irish shores (finally) to rock the crowd. Yes, it was definitely him, yes he was late. But when he did hit the stage he proved to everyone his vernacular skills are still as strong as ever. For the 45 minutes or so that Doom was on stage it was what we had both hoped for and expected.
We were treated to Viktor Vaughn, Madvillainy, Born Like This, Operation: Doomsday etc. with great renditions of ‘Rhymes Like Dimes’, ‘America’s Most Blunted’, ‘Accordion’, ‘All Caps’, ‘Ballskin’, ‘One Beer’, ‘Meatgrinder’ and ‘Hoe Cakes’. A particular favourite of ours is ‘Change The Beat’ which we weren’t expecting.
Big shout out to Jonas Voss (www.verture.net) who took these pics stepping in as always at the last minute to record our shows.
