Mary Anne Hobs Farewell show ft Burial & Kode 9

Mary Anne Hobbs has been on the BBC’s Radio 1 roster now for the last 14 years and in most recent years she’s hosted the experimental music show that has focused in particular on dubstep, grime, modern funk and most other electronic genres. She announced earlier on this summer that she was leaving Radio 1 for pastures new. So on her final farewell show which was aired last night she has gotten in two of her self confessed favorite artists in Kode 9 & Burial who both provide pretty banging guest mixes which can be listened to from here on the BBC Radio 1 page for the next week.

Radio 1 Extras Benji B is set to takeover from Hobbs who states that ‘she’ll soon start her new position as Media Development Coordinator at Sheffield University Union of Students and continue to DJ and will curate stages at next year’s Sonar and Bloc Festivals’.
