Yes Yes, Dun Laoighre Festival of World Cultures this weekend becomes the place to be if your in Ireland this weekend, the sleepy town beside Dublin becomes a cultural epicentre with over 250,000 people expected to attend all the events, markets, classes and concerts taking place over Sat &Sun 29/30 August.

Almost 90% of the events are free, so this is a recession busting affair. The Afronova Project featuring Tony Allen is certainly a highlight we recommend you go to this, also Tony will be in SouthWilliam Bar on Friday 28signing copies and launching his new LP with Lex Woo & Co. Firehouse Skank are in the basement too and it’s all free, so no excuses!
